STANFORD UNIVERSITY NAMES WORLD’S TOP 2% SCIENTISTS, 2021

Stanford University has recently released an update of the list that represents the top 2 per cent of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines. The report was prepared by a team of experts led by Prof. John Ioannidis, the eminent Professor at the Stanford University.

For the second consecutive year, Prof. Ashraf Nabhan, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology is named in the world’s top 2% of Scientists List. This recognition places Ain Shams University in the global map of excellence in medical research and brings great pride to the institute [Ain Shams University Official Website: World Scientists].

The database was created to provide updated analyses and a publicly available database of top scientists.  Updated databases and code are freely available in Mendeley.

The dataset and code provides an update to previously released version 1 data under https://doi.org/10.17632/btchxktzyw.1; The version 2 dataset is based on the May 06, 2020 snapshot from Scopus and is updated to citation year 2019 available at https://doi.org/10.17632/btchxktzyw.2

The updated version (https://doi.org/10.17632/btchxktzyw.3) is based on the Aug 01, 2021 snapshot from Scopus and is updated to citation year 2020. The database provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and a composite indicator.
